Dr. Dan Kellams, DACM, L.Ac
People often ask Dr. Dan why he didn't just become a GI doctor or an immune specialist. The answer goes back to his mom.
In 1986 she was diagnosed with Graves' disease. The standard treatment then was to radiate the thyroid, so she did, and she was never quite the same. She stayed on thyroid medication, and on heart medication for the rest of her life. Dan was a young kid visiting her in the hospital, and he knew even then that something had changed.
That was the first time he questioned how medicine treats the body. Years later, his patients kept arriving with the same story: one specialist for the gut, another for the skin, another for the fatigue, and nobody connecting them. At Peak Vitality in Golden, Colorado, he and his team look for what's driving the problem instead of managing each symptom separately. Patients travel from across the country to work with them, and a virtual program serves those who can't travel.
On November 16 he's teaching what he's learned, free.
